After attending medical schools in Syria and the United Kingdom, Ali Ghanem completed his surgical training at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England. He was then awarded his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology from University College London, working on molecular regulation of embryonic stem cells differentiation.
He completed his Plastic Surgery training in the UK with international fellowships in Seoul-South Korea, Brussels-Belgium, Paris-France, Toronto-Canada, Miami, Atlanta and San Diego USA.
Mr Ghanem’s academic work has been recognised by many prestigious prizes and awards such as The Arnold Huddard Medal of the Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland, Education Excellence Innovation Award from London Deanery, visiting Professorships at Barcelona University, Spain and Cardarelli Biotechnology Centre in Naples, Italy as well as the International Fellowship of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
